FEED MY SHEEP is this Sunday. We appreciate your donations as the pantry assistance needs continue to increase with the approaching holidays. Bring either food staples or monetary donations that can be used to purchase food at a greatly reduced price through the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank.
BAPTISM This morning we welcome our newly baptized member, Madison Claire Finley. Maddie is the daughter of Stuart and Deb Finley and Christy Smith. Her God-parent is Ashliegh Baker. Please keep Maddie and her family in your prayers as she continues her journey of faith in Our Lord.
Merry CHRISTmas SIGNS The Outreach Ministry Team is providing signs for people to put up in their yards this Advent – Christmas season like we have the crosses for the Lenten season. Pick up your sign in the Narthex and share your faith in Jesus.
HOLY TRINITY ANGEL TREE is now set up and ready to go for the Christmas season for those in need through the Salvation Army. We started with 10 tags for boys and girls and 10 tags for Senior adults. There are still a couple left to be filled. Please help us make a special Christmas for those in need in our community. Cards and gifts need to be at Holy Trinity by December 8 to meet the prearranged Salvation Army pickup. Contact Pat Rader @ 479-644-4153 with questions.
THE LUTHERAN HOUR Today on KURM (790 AM) at 12:30 P.M. & The Bott Radio Network at 8 A.M. on 89.3 F.M Guest Speaker: Rev. Dr. Dale A. Meyer. “Advent Adventure” Sometimes our faith gets weaker, sometimes it grows stronger. Let’s take this Advent to heart, and “live by faith, and not by sight.”(Mark 13:24-37)

LADIES ADVENT BY CANDLELIGHT
Please join us tonight from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Bring an appetizer to share. We begin by enjoying food and fellowship followed by a service that includes singing Christmas favorites. The theme for this year is “Advice.” If we could sit down with the people from the Christmas story what kind of advice would they give us. This is a time to center ourselves on Christ before we get too wrapped up in all the Christmas craziness. If you have any questions please contact Pam Pickett
ADVENT SERVICES begin this Wednesday at 10 AM and 7 PM. There is an Advent Supper served in the Life Center by the Music Ministry from 5:30-6:45. The theme for our services this year is “It’s About Time…”
ADVENT MEAL Join us Wednesday, December 6th from 5:30 – 6:30 pm for a meal before our evening Advent service. This week’s meal is Spaghetti, Salad, and Garlic Bread and is sponsored by the Music Ministry and Praise band. All donations collected at the meal will be given to the Office of Human Concern to be used in their community outreach which includes Meals on Wheels, utility assistance programs, and senior activity centers.
OFFERING ENVELOPES FOR 2018 have been placed at the Giving Center in the Narthex. Pick yours up today. If you can’t find yours or if you are a regular attender and want envelopes, see Dean Eisma or the church office.
PROJECT YES I CAN 2018 starts today. And, just what is Project Yes I Can? If you check the bulletin board in the Narthex you will find signup sheets that will add your name to the lists of persons willing to help in various ways to enhance worship here at Holy Trinity. We need Greeters, Readers, Video Operators, Lead and Assistant Counters, and Office Help. If you marked these positions on your Time and Talent sheet, we probably already have you listed. Many hands make light work, so volunteer and make a difference. Job descriptions are available if needed. If you have questions, your dedicated office staff will be happy to answer them.
FLOWER CHART The new Flower Chart for 2018 has been put up in the hall near the bathrooms. Please sign up for the Sunday(s) you want to sponsor (and include the reason if it is for a special purpose). The cost each Sunday is $60 per Sunday or $30 per bouquet if you want to split the Sunday with someone. Take one of the flower envelopes from the board and place it in the offering plate. It would be helpful is you write down the date for the Sunday for which you are providing the flowers.
YOUTH PROGRESSIVE DINNER If you have not already, please sign up for the Youth Progressive Dinner, for the night of December 9th, with Cameron and make sure to complete your Modern Mission waiver!
LIFE QUOTES: “God created you in the womb. He formed your very being. He called you by name for His great plans. He made your life new through the Holy One of Israel. God gave you a new heart through Christ. God has loved you so deeply—and He give you the gift of life sodeeply—that He gave you the heart of Christ. HIS heart beats within you. THAT is God’s gift of grace.” Rev. Paul J. Frank, Hosanna Lutheran Church and School, Mesa Arizona – If you wish to support Lutherans for Life, go to their web site: www.lutherans for life.org
LIFE THOUGHTS IN THE CHURCH YEAR The hand of God tenderly, intentionally forms every human person (Isaiah 64:8). No life happens by mistake (though God’s accidents would surpass humankind’s grandest feats). Inabilities due to stage or state of life do not disqualify a person any more than our sins (Isaiah 65:6) disqualify us. Without our merit or worthiness does He make us each His own, on account of His Fatherly goodness? Omniscient Lord of all, reveal to us the wonders You bring out of every human life until we cherish them all. Amen. (Advent 1)
