Our commitments and offerings will be brought to the front as part of our worship service then.

LIFE THOUGHTS IN CHURCH Everyone who loves the Lord God also loves His little ones (Mark 9:37). Every child is a treasure. Every person, especially the vulnerable, is our neighbor. Every life, even the feeblest, is gift and privilege from above. Life-or-death situations allow opportunity for us to receive them—see them, be seen with them, meet their needs. The Gospel of Jesus Christ means life with a Father and His family. Father in heaven, assist us to receive Your little ones. Amen. (Pentecost XVIII)
PORTALS OF PRAYER The new edition of Portals of Prayer is available in the Narthex for October – December. Please help yourself to them and feel free to share with other people who would like a copy.
CAMPUS CONNECTion: We are looking for someone to take the lead role in this outreach. The leader organizes church members to bake homemade goodies for our college students twice a year (Fall and Spring) & pray for those students. They also pack & mail out the care packages to the college students. Casey Bolte cannot take the lead this year due to other time commitments. If you are interested or have questions, please contact Casey Bolte.
LIFE QUOTES “Are you afraid of commitment and ‘belonging’ to other people? Relax. It’s how your Creator designed you. When you call a sick friend, send a card, congratulate an achiever, encourage a drooper, pursue a stray, or teach a child, you will feel a satisfaction in your heart that not even the devil can steal.” Rev. Mark Jeske, Time of Grace – If you wish to support this ministry, you may do so through their web site: www.lutheransforlife.org
MEALS FOR LUTHERANS AND FRIENDS If you would be interested in providing a meal for our U of A college ministry on Wednesdays in October or November, contact lutheran@uark.edu.
GIDEON MINISTRY The Gideons are looking for businessmen who join them in their ministry of distributing God’s Word to people around the world. If you would be interested in becoming a Gideon, you can join them on October 2 at 6:30 at Temple Baptist Church in Rogers. For more information, contact Ted Jones at 479-636-7371 or tdjones333@att.net.
An Offertory Prayer
Loving Creator, You have generously and graciously given us blessing after blessing, gift after gift, kindness after kindness. Your steadfast love and amazing grace abound in our lives. You are awesome, and we are humbled and deeply grateful.
Now we give our tokens of love and appreciation to You. First, we offer our grateful hearts, minds and souls. Receive our praise and thanksgiving. We also offer the gifts of our labor, our monetary offerings, and our pledge of talent, time and service.
Help us to be dedicated servants for You in our daily lives so we may be more worthy of the life You have given us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
