THE LUTHERAN HOUR Today on KURM (790 AM) at 12:30 P.M. & The Bott Radio Network at 8 A.M. on 89.3 F.M. ‘The King's Strength "Speaker: Rev. Dr. Michael Zeigler A true king's strength is seen, not in vaults and arsenals, but in the loyalty of his people. We celebrate the birth of the King who won the victory, not by taxing his subjects and killing his enemies, but by serving, loving and dying for them. By his resurrection, He destroyed the power of sin and lends us strength to become His loyal subjects. (Luke 1:26-56 ) HOLY TRINITY BIBLE STUDIES

LIFE THOUGHTS IN THE CHURCH.
Mary’s visitation to Elizabeth (Luke 1:44) provides proof that unborn ones have life in the womb. This joyful Gospel also proclaims that human beings have utmost value even before birth. Micah’s oracle (Micah 5:2) likewise confirms that the Lord loves little ones, and Hebrews 10:10 explains that the infant Immanuel consecrates us all so sacred and special to God. Messiah of Bethlehem, move us to embrace the least of these in Your tenderness. Amen.
LIFE QUOTES “Christmas celebrates more than just Jesus’ birthday. This historical event testifies to unchangeable truth about humankind and our Almighty Maker. It bestows upon us the honor of a special connection to the Lord God that makes us more precious than any other creature. It forms the foundation for all peace and love and joy and hope by revealing His salvation and testifying to how we participate in His everlasting life. Christmas profoundly proves the Gospel to be our history, identity, and destiny, and it proclaims a distinctly life-affirming reality.” Rev. Michael W. Salemink, executive director of Lutherans For Life – If you wish to support this group, you may do so through their website: www.lutheransforlife.org
HELPING HANDS Holy Trinity is scheduled to assist at Helping Hands on January 26, 2019. The signup sheet has been posted in the Narthex. There are still openings. Please help.
ADULT BIBLE CLASS I have two announcements regarding my Bible class meeting in classroom one. The first one is that we will not be meeting on Sunday December 23rd as I will be out of town for Christmas. The second is that starting January 6th 2019 we will start a new study. The study will concentrate on Old Testament People. We will begin with Joshua and then study Ruth, Samuel, David and Solomon. Men and women, younger and older you are all invited and welcomed to join us. If you have any questions please contact Pam Pickett.
GREETERS, READERS, VIDEO OPERATORS, COUNTERS, AND OFFICE HELPERS Please retrieve your first quarter schedules from your mailbox in the Narthex. Thanks to Evan Wright for stepping forward to help with video equipment for the late service. We can still use more video volunteers.
CHRISTMAS CARDS Please remember to donate your Christmas cards to mission crafts after the holidays. There is a bin in the Narthex where you can leave them. Thank you so much.
Merry CHRISTmas SIGNS The Outreach Ministry Team is providing signs for people to put up in their yards this Advent – Christmas season like we have the crosses for the Lenten season. Pick up your sign in the Narthex and share your faith in Jesus.
