Dr. Ken Klaus,  Every job looks like it's easy if you don't have to do it. That was certainly the case when Jesus told His disciples to feed the crowd. With no McDonald's in the area, they came back and asked Jesus to do what they couldn't. We would be wise if we did the same.  (Mark 6:37)

LIFE THOUGHTS IN CHURCH – St. Mary Magdalene – Mary had carried the weight of seven demons (Luke 8:2). No doubt they shouted to her about guilt and pounded her heart with grief. Yet God’s innocent Son wasn’t ashamed that she should see Him crucified. In resurrection He who forgives seventy times seven couldn’t wait to encounter her (John 20:16). We get to impart this relief and experience this rejoicing by bringing His deliverance to souls struggling with abortions. Dear Jesus, drive away our fears that we may speak Your life. Amen.  (Pentecost VIX)

GARDEN TABLE AVAILABLE   If you have extra produce from your garden that you want to share with other people, you are invited to put them on the counter in the Giving Center in the Narthex.   Feel free to help yourself to anything placed on the Garden Table.  Reminder, first come, first served.

CONFIRMATION MEETING   Students going into 7th or 8th grade and their parents are asked to attend an information meeting on Sunday, August 5, during the education hour in the chapel.  We will discuss the layout of confirmation this fall, requirements, parental roles, and day/time of the week.  See Cameron with Questions.

CONFIRMATION SMALL GROUP GUIDES   Cameron is looking for Small Group Guides for confirmation this fall. It is their role to lead a small group of students in a discussion on each weeks topic. If you are interested, please speak to Cameron for more details.

FOSTER CARE   There is a crisis in Arkansas with children who need foster care but not enough families willing to offer that care.  There is a ministry called “The Call” which helps people interested in providing foster care in Northwest Arkansas.  There are a couple of flyers at the Giving Center if you want more information.

LIFE QUOTES   “Please join us in praying for those who make, administer, and judge our laws that they may reflect the truth, love, and life of our Lord Jesus Christ in their policies and actions until the Savior returns to bring our redemption and resurrection to fulfillment in new creation and everlasting kingdom.” Rev. Michael W. Salemink, executive director of Lutherans For Life   Support them through their web site: www.lutheransforlife.org
