CALL COMMITTEE The Call Committee met on Sunday, January 6th, to discuss the list of potential interim pastors that the district provided. As Brent Garner mentioned last month, we were not pleased with the list as we felt it did not address the needs of the church and some of the pastors were still actively serving other churches. The committee decided to forgo the search for an interim pastor and instead move forward with a search for a full time pastor. The committee wants to hear your voice! If you are aware of a pastor that you think would be a good fit for our church, please see a member of the committee (names below). They will give you a nomination form to complete and give to Casey Bolte (or place in her box in the Narthex). Nomination forms are due to Casey Bolte by Friday, January 18th. Casey will email the nominations to the district the next day so please don't be late! You can also get a nomination form from the church office. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact a committee member:

LIFE THOUGHTS IN THE CHURCH.
With this One, His Son veiled in frail human flesh, the heart of Almighty God is well-pleased (Luke 3:22). Through the same Jesus Christ, He creates, redeems, and calls (Isaiah 43:1-2) every member of our race to be His own beloved child. Since He stands in our place, even our sicknesses and sorrows do not represent punishments but rather opportunities for Him to shower blessing.
LIFE QUOTES “If God places such high value on life—all life (John 3:16)—how can we possibly be less concerned? We do love others because He first loved us (1 John 4:19). We speak up for those who cannot speak for them-selves (Proverbs 31:8) because when we had no voice, no standing, no defense, Jesus stepped in on our behalf. There is no way we can be less loving.” Christian Life Resources --If you wish to support this group, you may do so through their website: www.lutheransforlife.org
