UNITY SUNDAY next week. One service at 10 AM. HTY Café and Voters follow.
THANK YOU “Thanks for all the cards, prayers and Bible verses. I am better each day. I also appreciated being able to read the News and Notes. Wishing you all the blessings of Easter.” -- Joyce Bauer
SPRINGTIME IN THE OZARKS often brings bad weather. With that in mind, we thought this might be a good time to remind you of our EMERGENCY NOTIFICATION Plans. Holy Trinity uses the “Remind” system to notify members and friends of the congregation of weather cancellations, funerals, or other important events. It is a system designed for school teachers so the teacher is “Mr. Besel” and the class is “Holy Trin.” To receive text messages to your phone, text @fbab2 to 81010. You can opt-out of messages at anytime by replying, “unsubscribe @fbab2”. To receive email notifications, send an email to fbab2@mail.remind.com (Leave subject line blank). To unsubscribe, reply with 'unsubscribe' in the subject line. ALSO: We also try to put weather cancellations on 5 News, 40/29 TV, and KNWA through their weather alert systems. Each channel works different and sometimes it does not get posted. When possible, we add a note to the “Special Announcement” section on our web page (www.holytrin.org), make a post to our congregation’s Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/Holy-Trinity-Lutheran-Church), and change the announcement on our voice mail system for the church times.
THE LUTHERAN HOUR Today on KURM (790 AM) at 12:30 P.M. & The Bott Radio Network at 8 A.M. on 89.3 F.M “It’s Really Real” Speaker Emeritus of The Lutheran Hours: Rev. Dr. Ken Klaus Here’s the deal. If Jesus actually rose from the dead, it would be wise to believe in Him because there will be salvation in no one else. If He didn’t rise, we’re all toast. Tune in to today’s message and hear why you can be confident Jesus’ resurrection if really real. (1 John 1:1-3)

TRAINING OUR CHILDREN Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6) We can all agree teaching children about the love of Christ and the salvation we have through him is very important. We are in need of a couple of teachers to share the love of Jesus to the lower (K-2nd) and upper (3rd-5th) elementary Sunday School classes. If you would like to learn more, there is a sign up sheet in the narthex next to an example of the lessons we use. The lessons are very straight forward and easy to navigate. If you have any questions contact cameron@holytrin.org or talk to the Education Team.
HELP NEEDED One of our stalwart volunteers is under the weather. We are looking for an office helper for Friday, April 20th and Friday, June 8th, at 1:00pm to assemble service leaflets and stuff News & Notes into mail boxes. We also need a Greeter for Sunday, June 24th 10:45am service. We need one counter for May 18th and June 24th and two couters for June 17th (that is Father’s Day). Please let the office know if you can help with any of these dates.
BRANSON DAY TRIP We will be able to secure a bus for a one day trip to see "Samson" at the Sight & Sound theatre. It is a 56 passenger bus. If interested please see the Interested sheet on bulletin board. Questions see or call Shirley Bernthal (631-9971).

LIFE THOUGHTS IN THE CHURCH Sometimes the unassiable sanctity of life goes unseen (John 20:25). Sometimes age, appearance, ina- bilities, or errors seem to conceal it. We do not need productivity, popularity, prospertiy, or prettiness to prove a person’s worth. By becoming incarnate from conception to crucifixion, Jesus proclaims every one of us precious. By resurrection and for giveness, Jesus pronounces even the least of these priceless (20:29) Heavenly Father, enable us to believe and receive Your gifts even without seeing. Amen. (Easter II)
LIFE QUOTES “Our Lord has written the promise of the Resurrection not in books alone, but in every leaf in the springtime.” Martin Luther If you wish to support Lutherans for Life, you can through their web site: www.lutheransforlife.or
LIVING DISCIPLE CLASS starts on Thursday, April 12. Pastor Besel will be teaching a new Living Disciple class in Classroom 1 on Thursday evenings. The class will start at 6:30 run about 90 minutes (longer if needed for discussion). This is a follow-up class for the Connections Class and the Knowing God Class. This class focuses on how we live as disciples of Jesus. We will look at practical helps for studying the Bible, praying, worship, being witness for Jesus and stewardship. A major part of the class will be looking at our ethics as Christians by looking in depth at the Ten Commandments. The class is open to anyone who is interested. The tentative schedule (help yourself) and a sign-up sheet (so we know how many sets of material to prepare) are on the board outside Pastor Besel’s office near the Life Center. If you can’t sign up and want to attend, please join us. If you are going to miss a couple weeks as we go into the summer, feel free to join us for the weeks you are here.
